The middle chair

I wish I looked better in hats. I am in that phase of my life where I want to wear Fedoras but in a way that they seem natural yet when I wear one, it looks like I am holding it hostage.

I used to hang out in a barber shop, and I didn’t get my hair cut there once - I knew the stylists who were also friends who were also lifesavers, and I would sit in the middle chair because it was always empty.
