On Sunday, a newsletter will be sent out about the languages we speak and how we connect with people through these languages. As a micro challenge in the lead-up to this, I want us to write haiku demands. Picture those worrisome, stressed-out parts of you as a physical force and imagine them holding you hostage. What would it need as a ransom to release you? What is tucked in the prayers of inside you, hoping outside you will listen? What self-care or self-love are you rebelling against consciously or subconsciously? Write a minimum of three haikus that detail these demands and let yourself hear yourself at max volume.
Give me gentle nights
and even softer mornings;
let me live slower.
Stop holding grudges
for the person you once were -
become something new.
Mistakes are water.
The flower will only grow
if we do as well.
We can take a breath.
The world has enough patience.
It will wait for you.
Thank you! Loved creating ✨️
Give me sweet softness
when I start to feel scared,
all I need is love.
Smile when I'm afraid,
hold my hand in the darkness;
watch me blossoming.
What if you're safe here?
See your roots deep in the Earth,
she whispers...enough.
