In 2022, I started a collection called ‘Ghost Nocturnal’ with no real idea where it was heading. The first draft of that book ended up merging with my collection ‘We Are All Dead’. When I started working on it again, it became something different from what I ever expected it to be. Once I finished Ghost Nocturnal, it was pretty apparent that there was more to say, and there was a story arc that I had to follow. Suddenly, Ghost Nocturnal was the first in a trilogy. The trilogy follows a journey through grief and depression and a documenting of survival while being hunted by sadness and the poltergeist of mourning. In Ghost Nocturnal, I was haunted, it was bleak, and I was struggling.
In comes, Echo Eternal. Echo Eternal starts with a similar tone, but slowly, I begin to find hope. The sequel is more about overcoming and a sense that everything will be okay. The Hangman still looms. Still screams. The creek still calls, but slowly it becomes a whisper. If none of this makes sense to you right now, it will. Time is the best teacher. Ghost Nocturnal was the storm, Echo Eternal is the weathering. Limited to a single run of fifty, you can secure yourself a copy right now by hitting the button below. Please treat it gentle.
