For 11:11 last week, the organiser gave the prompt of writing about a kindness that nobody else sees. A gesture that isn’t for show. This caused me to write a poem titled ‘A Small Kind Of Kindness'. I thought I would share this poem in written form for the first time with all of the paid subscribers! I hope you enjoy it.
A Small Kind Of Kindness
I rip seeds from the pumpkin and
instead of throwing them away, I clean them.
My thumbs polish the surface
before I roast them.
I take my time.
I consider it an offering.
